Art, starting with the most recent
Jul. 12th, 2009 03:16 amIn January this year, my husband and I brought home two brother kittens, Aaron and Moses. The rescue group dictated that we couldn't fully adopt them until little Moses was neutered. Two weeks into their stay with us, Moses stopped growing. The rescue group was in charge of his medical care, so we began a long and painful care-by-committee relationship. I gave Moses great care, but the full time effort exhausted me and finally, the rescue group asked that we return both kittens. Back in their hands, Moses rapidly declined and died. Slowly with me or quickly with them, he was going to die. It was a terrible time for me.
When the foster group witnessed Moses' unmistakable signs of a deadly virus that had nothing to do with our original care, they invited us to take home [then 7 month old] Aaron with their sister, Kyra. Yes!
So began our role as willing slaves to Aaron and Kyra. Among my new duties as feline servant and entertainment center is faithfully expressing all perceptible and evocative qualities of catness through sketches.
